I haven’t really owned a lot of Milwaukee Tools over the years. I kind of stuck with the DeWalt gear and Porter Cable tools. With that said I’m really liking this Milwaukee 18 volt battery powered leaf blower. It’s very well built with solid Construction. It’s a little bit heavier then some of the other blowers I tested, but I think that’s just because it’s really durable and made from solid parts. Still it’s only 5.7 lb so just about anybody can use this blower with ease.
What are the first things that stood out with his flowers that it’s extremely quiet it’s rated at a mere 63 DB which is almost 30% quieter then most gas powered leaf blowers on the market.
This blower uses the M18 fuel battery platform that works on nearly all the 18-volt Milwaukee products. Milwaukee has to size 18 volt batteries. One’s a little bit larger than the other and hold the much longer charge. If you use that battery in this particular blower you’re going to get about 45 minutes of run time at full power. That’s about 15 minutes longer than the DeWalt DCBL720P1 blower I tested.
So what kind of power does this Milwaukee blower put out? According to the specs this blower generates 450 CFM at 100 mph. Again this is a little bit more than the DeWalt but if you have really big jobs to tackle it might not be quite enough power for heavy dirt and small gravel. But if you’re just blowing off grass clippings leaves and other normal debris around your yard you’re going to be really impressed with the power this Milwaukee generates.
This blower has a variable speed trigger and a cruise control. The cruise control trigger is ambidextrous which is really nice so you can set the power output from either side of the handle. This gives great speed control so you don’t have to use it at full output all of the time.
If you’re a fan of Milwaukee products and already has some of the Milwaukee 18 volt tools this blower is a no-brainer. If you’re new to Milwaukee kind of like myself you should definitely put this little blower on your short list to check out. It’s powerful for most jobs very quiet and runs for a long time on a single charge. You can’t ask for more than that in a high quality battery power leaf blower.
