Spring Cleanup (See our Fall Cleanup too)

  • Begins in March or April, weather permitting.
  • We remove leaves, branches, and debris from lawns, beds, drives, walks, and patios.
  • We prune any broken or dead branches from ornamental trees and bushes.
  • We cut any perennials that have been left from the previous season.
  • Repair plow damage turf and plants.

Power & Hand Edging (beds, tree circles)

  • Will be done with a power edger.
  • Typically done once in mid summer, but available anytime.
  • All debris will be removed.

Mulching (beds, tree circles)

  • Yard Masters uses only sterile, locally produced mulch (insect and disease free)
  • Assist client in selection of mulch material and quantity
  • Deliver material
  • Prepare mulch beds, including weed control
  • Edge beds as required
  • Spread mulch

Weed Control and Fertilizing (see our Accelerated Fertilizer Program below)

  • Early Spring Application – slow release granular fertilizer, and “DIMENSION” for crab and other unwanted grass plants.
  • Spring Application – liquid herbicide, for broadleaf weed control, (dandelion, thistle, etc…) and liquid fertilizer.
  • Summer Application – slow release granular fertilizer, with iron and manganese to improve root growth and disease resistance.
  • Early Fall Application – liquid herbicide, for broadleaf weed control, (dandelion, thistle, etc.)
  • and liquid fertilizer.
  • Late Fall Winterizer – granular fertilizer, with high nitrogen to strengthen lawn and help prevent winter diseases, (snow molds, etc.).

Accelerated Fertilizer Program -
(add to our Weed Control & Fertilizing program - can be customized to your lawn's specific needs)

This program is recommended for:

  • Lawns with irrigation systems. The amount of watering that is produced by these systems uses up the nutrients quicker, therefore additional fertilizer is required for a healthy lawn.
  • Lawns suffering from neglect
  • New lawns
This program adds the following additional services to our standard recommended Weed Control and Fertilizer program.
Spring Application – Premium slow release granular fertilizer will be applied with liquid herbicide to provide more nutrients and promote spreading and faster growth of grass plants.
  • Early Fall Application - Premium slow release granular fertilizer will be applied with liquid
  • herbicide to provide more nutrients and promote spreading and faster growth of grass plants.

Mowing and Trimming (keeps your lawn healthy and beautiful)

All grass areas will be cut and trimmed to a height that will promote a healthy lawn (height may vary during the growing season depending on the weather and other conditions).

  • All debris, (paper, branches, etc.) will be removed while mowing.
  • Down spouts will be moved or lifted prior to mowing or trimming of the area.
  • Grass clippings will be blown off of walks, driveways, patios, tree circles, and beds when mowing and trimming is completed.
  • Mowing and trimming will begin in April, and end in November.
  • Frequency to be determined by Yardmasters, based on weather conditions, lawn conditions, etc.

Ornamental Bed Maintenance (We can save you a lot of work)

  • Roundup® nonselective herbicide will be used to control weeds and unwanted grasses in beds, around utilities, walk, and driveway cracks, and around areas that may get damaged by trimming.
  • Hand weeding will be done in areas where Roundup® can’t be used.
  • Inspection of all areas - customer will be notified of any plant diseases or lack of nutrients and be given recommendations for correction of same.

Pruning (keep your landscaping looking nice)

  • Typically done in late spring, late summer and early fall, depending upon growth conditions.
  • Yardmasters will trim and shape, shrubs, hedges, and perennials to their specific needs.
  • All suckers will be removed from ornamental trees.
  • All clippings will be removed.

Sidewalk Edging (improves the appearance of your property)

  • Will be done with a power edger.
  • Typically done once in mid summer, but available anytime.
  • All debris will be removed.

Core Aeration (keep you lawn healthy – encourage growth)

  • Recommended to be done in October or November.
  • We use a core aeration machine, which pulls plugs out of the lawn.
  • This service allows moisture and nutrients to get to the roots of the plant.
  • All plugs are left on the lawn.

Lawn Insect Control (get rid of those pesky problems)

  • A spring application of a granular preventative insecticide
  • Helps eliminate grub, aphids, and many other insect problems.
  • Changes the metamorphosis of the insect, which prevents them from feeding on the grass plant.

Mosquito Control (Enjoy your lawn!)

  • Applied as needed.
  • A liquid insecticide is applied to all foliage, (grass, trees, shrubs etc.).
  • This kills existing mosquitos and creates a barrier that repels the newly hatched pests.
  • Each application will last up to 4 weeks, depending on the amount of rain received.

Tree Services (keep trees healthy or improve their appearance)

  • Complete tree removal
  • Tree trimming for healthy growth and/or appearance
  • Stumps grinding
  • Inspect for and treat diseases for highly susceptible ornamental fruit trees and, evergreens as well as for other trees

Brush and Debris Removal (improve the appearance of your property)

  • We can remove brush piles or other debris from your property
  • Unwanted vegetation cut and cleared
  • Improve the appearance of your home or business.
  • Get rid of breeding places for insects or varmints

Fall Cleanup (Complements our Spring Cleanup)

  • Usually done in November when most leaves are down.
  • Cleanup can be done progressively, as soon as the leaves begin to fall through the end of the season.
  • Cleanups will consist of removing leaves, branches, and debris from lawns, beds, drives, walks, and patios.
  • Perennials, (hostas, sedums, lilies, etc), shrubs, bushes, and hedges will be cut to their specific needs.
